Expressionism

This painting is quite clearly an impression of anger and sadness. It’s name being ‘the cry’ is easy to identify with the long jaw hanging down in what looks like an attempt to scream tears of what I think is pain.     This painting is harder to dissolve into one simple description. From what I see I think of it as a cold and warm feeling one desires to leave behind every so often. It’s colours to me identify the feelings we all have: confusion. We might not be sad or happy but often we seem to be both.
